Refund policy

At Olivifer.com, we adhere strictly to the statutory rights afforded to consumers under United Kingdom law. We do not offer returns or refunds beyond what is legally required by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Right to Cancel (Cooling-off Period)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the legal right to cancel your order for most non-perishable goods within 14 days of receiving them.

  • Notification: You must notify us clearly of your decision to cancel within this 14-day period by emailing [Insert Support Email Address].

  • Return Deadline: Once you have notified us, you must return the goods to us strictly within 14 days. Returns received after this window will not be accepted.

2. Exemptions: Items We Do Not Refund

In accordance with UK law, the right to cancel does not apply to the following goods. We do not accept returns for these items unless they are faulty:

  • Perishable Goods: Food, beverages, oils, or any goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

  • Sealed Goods: Items sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons (e.g., opened food jars, cosmetics) if the seal has been broken after delivery.

  • Customised Goods: Any item made to your specific specifications or clearly personalised.

3. Return Shipping Costs

  • Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for paying the direct cost of returning the goods. We do not provide free return shipping labels.

  • Liability: The goods remain your responsibility until they reach our warehouse. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service. We accept no liability for returns lost or damaged in transit.

4. Refunds and Deductions

If you exercise your right to cancel within the statutory period:

  • Basic Delivery Cost Only: We will refund the cost of the goods and the standard (cheapest) delivery cost offered. If you selected an enhanced delivery option (e.g., Next Day Delivery), the additional cost will not be refunded.

  • Diminished Value: We reserve the right to deduct value from your refund if the goods have been handled more than necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. If items are returned damaged, soiled, used, or with broken seals, the deduction may be up to 100% of the contract price.

5. Faulty or Defective Goods

For goods strictly claimed as faulty under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • Within 30 Days: You may reject the item for a full refund if it is of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose, or not as described.

  • After 30 Days (up to 6 months): We will offer a repair or replacement. A refund will only be processed if repair or replacement is impossible or unsuccessful.

  • Proof Required: Valid proof of purchase and evidence of the fault is required for all claims.
